Outlaw Mad Dawgs, Badd 16
and All Door Car Races Headline the Action on
Saturday, July 19th
Then on Saturday, July 19th, will feature the wild
on the edge warriors of the Quick 8 Outlaw Mad Dawgs.
The heads-up, quickest Outlaw Mad Dawgs is made up
of weight to cube inch, to help even the competition
up. Last year Rocky Raynor of Greensboro, NC in his
“We Fly Together” Stroupe Corvette took the opening
race win. He was joined by Houston Dial in Shane
Hunt’s Chevrolet Cavalier, the Mad Man Chad Tilley
in his Albert Performance Pontiac Grand Am and South
Carolina’s Kerry Crosby in his PAR Racing Engines
Corvette as Outlaw Mad Dawg winner’s.
Look
for the “JunkYard” Dawg David Lambert of Kannapolis,
NC to make his OutLaw Mad Dawg debut in his
Chevrolet Cavalier. David a former MD finalist will
be gunning for his first “Dawg” with his 738 Buck
powered Chevy. This former Power Jam Big Dog
champion will have plenty of competition from MMD’s
Mean 16 winner’s Darrin Hoyle and Chad Tilley.
Hoyle, in the former Rickie Smith Chevy Cobalt has
his Fulton 632 powerplant ready for the battle along
with the “mad man” Chad Tilley in his Pontiac Grand
Am. Tilley fresh off a win last weekend will be
trying for his second “Dawg” win with his 728 Albert
powerplant. Look for the man on a mission David
Campbell of Oxford, NC who has set low et everywhere
he has gone in the former Greg Anderson Pontiac. His
Eagle Performance has been burning up the tracks at
Piedmont and Motormile, so don’t be surprise who’ll
be on top at the Dirty Mo. Opening Dawg winner at
Farmington “Happy” Gilmer Hinshaw will be a threat
for another Mad Dawg trophy with his PAR racing
engines Kresto Hand Cleaner Chevy Cobalt. Look for
the “Gunslinger” Andy Beal in his Beal Racing
Engines Chevy Camaro to be right in the middle of
the dawg fight after a Farm runner-up. Other top
contenders to look for Mark the Kid Jones in Jim
Wheatley’s Camaro and the Kids Oldsmobile with
rookie driver Mike Heath. Former Quick 8 champion
Todd Howard in Jerry Williams’ Ford Probe. Local
standout Joel Douglas in Ant’s Cavalier, James
Bunton, Jamie Chappell, Dap Morrison and more.
The quickest 8 cars will make up the “BIG Show” of
the Mad Dawgs, and there will be a second quickest 8
race called the “Lil Dawgs” for the non-qualifiers.
Then, there’s even more all DOOR Car action, with
the Badd 16, featuring the quickest 16 “DOOR” cars
on a Top Sportsman handicap (dial-in) start. This
class will be a separate from the Mad Dawgs and
regular TOP Eliminator. They will have three rounds
of qualifying, right before the Dawgs. You can run
this class or TOP Eliminator. Not Mad Dawgs and Badd
16. “We had a great turn out last year with a 5.94
and 5.49 bump spots. Rick Whaley and Chris Warren
posted Badd 16 victories”. Said Mark Joyce. Remember
its all about the Fun, Going Fast and Door
Cars….Saturday Night, July 19th at the "Dirty MO".
Outlaw Mad Dawgs (8 Big Show qualifiers), Lil’ Dawgs
(2nd
8 non-qualifiers), Badd 16 (Top Sportsman style),
